I've been having nagging back pains for the last 2 weeks, so much so that last week was my 1st week with zero mileage since I don't know when.
No Bike, No Run, No Nuthin'
The week before last, I went on one 5.5 mile run and a weekend bike ride... then an entire week off, I would wake up and be in pain before I even got out of bed. I would hobble to the medicine cabinet and down some aAdvil before doing anything else.
Eventually, it would loosen up and I'd be ok throughout the day, but definitely not good enough to go bang out any miles before work.
This morning I went for a morning bike ride, I had some minor discomfort but nothing too serious. My Fall 16 week marathon training program starts on Monday and I don't want to start it with an injury. It's amazing what we can take for granted, I'm approaching 50 years old and knock on wood, I have never had any major issues. One week off and it's enough to write about.
